Our commitment toward diabetes prevention.
KDO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising diabetes awareness and promoting its prevention. We host free community screenings — an initiative that combines early detection with health education.
At our screenings, attendees get one-on-one time with a registered nutritionist and an MD, group movement, and prevention-focused education. Together, we stride toward a healthier future.

Nuzhat Chalisa MD, FACE
President & Founder KDO
Dr. Chalisa is a Clinical Endocrinologist, Diabetes, and Obesity specialist. Dr. Chalisa’s experience crosses between research and clinical practice. Dr. Chalisa has been in practice for over 22 years in the Chicago area; she serves as the Medical Director for Endocrinology and diabetes education at Morris Hospital & Health Care Center in Chicago, IL.
